Loveless is a driving, unpretentious modern rock band and a group of longtime friends that formed within the Boston Music scene. As quickly as they formed, they earned two nominations at the Boston Music Awards for “New Rock Band,” and “Song of the Year” for the song “Tonight.” In a mecca of music such as Boston, homegrown music is not difficult to appreciate. The very first song, entitled, “Go,” highlights the pop/rock abilities of the group in addition to exhibiting the band’s more unique qualities. Lead vocalist Dave Wanamaker has an excellent ability to nail a vocal line spread throughout a rather challenging range, and background vocalist, Jen Trynin adds unique flavor by overdubbing lyrics with Wanamaker. The final product is something I could certainly hear on radio stations throughout the country in the near future. Perhaps the name does not do justice to the music, but “Loveless” is towering over many of the other bands making their way through the music industry. Hopefully good music will win, and we’ll see Loveless on top soon.
